Cheaper than any garage

We've all been in that awkward and frustrating, yet essential situation of having to take the car to the garage for a service, or MOT or whatever.  It's a costly exercise isn't it.

Well imagine if you were in a situation where you could get help to do some (maybe all?) of the work yourself. What a great idea I hear you say - and with the help of Car Mechanic Tips it can now become a money saving reality!

Just think, you could go to Halfords, Tooled-Up or even Tyre Shopper to get the parts and spares you need, then get the car maintenance information you need from the website and hey presto - you've just become your very own garage.

Obviously we'd recommend you go to a local garage for major jobs, but for routine car maintenance work such as replacing wiper blades, topping up the oil, checking your tyres, changing the air filter, etc then you can do these yourself (and save yourself the £45 + VAT an hour the garage would charge you!).
